Vanilla+ [v20170816]

OFFICIAL PAGE OF VANILLA+ MOD
This is a mod aimed at enhancing the base game with the limited amount of tools available.

Installation Instructions and the files are on there.

DEVELOPERS:
Currently this is a one-man mod developed by me (if you would like to help develop this mod please email me at alexandroveringuard@gmail.com).

DEVLOG:
    v20170816
    First Alpha Build of the Modern Day Scenario, please note that I made this in 2 hours so do not expect much
  • Government: Commonwealth Realm (Government modeled after the Countries "ruled" by the British Queen that are not the United Kingdom).
  • Government: Presidential Republic (Generic Republic modeled after the USA).
  • Country: Australia (Some government members have IRL names).
  • Country: New Zealand (Some government members have IRL names).
  • Country: Canada (No government members have IRL names).

I do not include the whole game with the mod, in the respect for the creator as I know it will be exploited by pirates.

It would be great if you could allow us to edit more stuff in the game. E.g make custom recuitment strategies.

To do that in general would be very difficult as it would entail exposing the inner workings of the game into some external scripting language. But maybe if you explain what you're looking for specifically, I could accomodate? :)

That could cost from $5,000 to $15,000. Probably not gonna happen.

Well software patent fun aside, the issue is not really about releasing source code, but rather making a nice interface for modders to mod such behaviour.

If I were to release source, modders would have to recompile and ship everyone a new binary if they wanted to run it, and I seriously doubt this would be such a big breakthrough :)

Sorry for not responding for a bit!

I have kind of sidetracked and have started making a modern day scenario, with modern day governments (THANK YOU Snoddas for letting us set the governments of custom made nations and making Alliances!!!!! (and the thing i suggested, but it would be better for PC if you could click the stars :D ). I will still be developing Vanilla+ but will also be developing this (it is mostly for me).

I guess I could call this a sub-mod or nah? idk i just don't want to make an extra thread.

I really want to try this :)
Can you just post alist of the files that you have modified, or new files? This makes it easier to see and check out what you have actually modded.
